Shirley graduated from Central High School in 1959. She would later attend Mississippi College and Hinds Jr College. She has been a resident of Clinton since 1979.
Shirley retired from the Packard Electric Division of General Motors, where she served as a supervisor in procurement. She was known for her dedication and leadership throughout her career.
A lover of all animals and beautiful yards, Shirley found joy in the simple pleasures of life.
Shirley is survived by her son, Walton McJordan III (Grace); her grandsons, Walton McJordan IV and Austin McJordan; and her great-grandchildren, Lilly and Everett McJordan; sister, Betty B Stokes (Bob). She was preceded in death by her sister, Martha B Jenkins, and her mother, Lucille B. Raney.
A visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home, located at 6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, Mississippi, on December 20, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 pm at the same location. The committal service will take place at Lakewood Memorial Park.
