

T.J. (Timothy James) was a loving and kind family man, who always put his family first. He was a quiet gentle soul and a believer in God. Who worked hard for his family. He is a child of God, husband, father, son, and brother.
T. J. was born to the late Quilcene Jenkins and Jerry D. Riggs on May 29, 1969, in Pasadena, California.
In his youth, his family moved to build a life in Jackson Mississippi. TJ's academic studies were at Provine High school where he was a proud football player of the Provine Rams and a member of VICA. After graduating, T.J. enlisted with the United States Army, traveling/stationing in Korea, Germany, and Italy to name a few, and served in Desert Storm.
Upon returning home from active duty, he continued his studies in Computer-Aided Design(CAD). As a highly trained computer technology professional draftsman, he worked to design and create 2D and 3D computer models. Timothy was employed with the United States Corps of Engineers, Hazclean Environmental and with long-time friend Shair Rahaim at Summit Environmental.
October 16, 1998, he married Tarra, his devoted and dutiful wife. To this union two children were born, Timothy J. II and Tareva C. P.
He instilled in his children the rewards of devotion, humor, and integrity. He was a big Steelers fan and avid gamer.
Precious memories and the LOVE will forever be cherished by his wife Tarra Riggs, son Timothy Riggs II, and daughter Tareva Riggs. His three siblings are Damien Riggs of Jackson, MS, Tais(Jenkins) Anderson, and Jeremy Jenkins of Biloxi MS. Two sisters-in-law Yolanda Riggs, and Sharon, Jenkins, and one brother-in-law Brian Anderson. His mother-in-law Ruth Robinson and his father Jerry D Riggs. As well as nieces, nephews and many other dear relatives and friends.
A visitation for T.J. will be held Monday, June 13, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home. A visitation will occur Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. T.J. will be laid to rest in Autumn Woods Memorial Gardens, 4000 W Northside Dr., Jackson, Mississippi 39209.
