Vicki "Victoria" Thomas Hartman passed away on May 10, 2024, at the age of 81 at St. Dominic Hospital. She was born on December 26, 1942, in Yazoo City, MS. She graduated from Greenville High School and became a beloved English teacher at Clinton High School and Clinton Jr. High School. Vicki was also a member of the Advance Staff for Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter, an adored wife, a dedicated homemaker, and a loving mother.
Vicki was bigger than life to those around her. She cherished her family, her faith, and dancing. She was a member of Darlene's Dixie Dancers and the Ridgeland Tappers, finding joy in the company of her dance teams, who were like family to her. Her vivacious energy was on full display to her last dance. Michael and Jack express their love and thanks to both Vicki and John for a life unimaginable!
Vicki is survived by her sister Bill Weidermann (Bruce), sister-in-law Mary Ann Thomas, children Michael Galyean (Wendy), Jack Hartman (Lisa), grandchildren Matthew Galyean (Caro), Sarah Birdsong (Michael), Peyton Usher (Josh), and Dean and Hudson Hartman, also her great-grandchildren Kaitlyn and Haley Usher. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband John, her parents, Chuck and Nell Thomas, her brother Chuck Thomas, Jr, and her sister Ann Diehl.
Vicki was a long-standing member of Clinton United Methodist Church. Services will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park in Clinton, with Visitation beginning at 9 am and Chapel Service at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital in memory of Vicki are welcome.
