Walter Wayne Wade, Sr, 75, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Lakewood Funeral Home from 1-3 PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 3 PM with interment to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mr. Wade was born on July 21, 1940 in Natchez, MS to the late Charley Edward and Jessie Mae Bowman Wade. He served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict and later retired from the Texas Army National Guard.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Charles Edward Wade; sisters, Mildred Wade Coley and Louise Wade Burdine.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Chappell Wade; son, Walter Wade, Jr. and Michael Wade (Michelle); daughter, Lynnice Wade Gunter; grandchildren, Charlotte “Charli” and Eric Gunter, Sydney, Rebecca, and Michael Wade; brother, Wilmer Wade (Dale); sisters, Martha Wade Shurfield and Dianne Wade Franklin (Kenneth) and numerous nieces and nephews.
