William “Bill” Bolls, 66, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Thursday, June 23 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. His funeral service will be held on Friday at Morrison Heights Baptist Church at 11:00 AM.
Bill was born on February 21, 1956 in Dallas, TX to the late William Wilson, Jr. and Carrie Dendy Bolls. Bill loved his family with all his heart. Cindy, Jennifer, Michael, Daniel, Payton and Cole were the loves of his life after Jesus. His sister, Mary Anne, was his best friend. He was a good friend to so many. Always had a smile on his face and always funny. He kept us laughing. He loved sailing, Nascar, motorcycles, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Texas Longhorns, and animals, especially a favorite dog, Moe Moe, and our current dog, Daisy. As a Boy Scout he helped with clean-up after Hurricane Camille in 1969 and helped clean-up again after Hurricane Katrina. Bill retired on May 27, 2021 and was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma on July 6, 2021. Bill fought so hard to overcome this disease so he could spend more time with us. He had a bone marrow transplant on June 10th. He only lived 10 days after transplant. He is missed terribly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Wilson Bolls and Carrie Dendy Bolls, and Uncle Billy Jay Nance.
Bill is survived by his wife of 45 years, Cindy, son, Michael, daughter, Jennifer Bolls Townsend, her husband, Daniel Townsend, grandchildren, Payton and Cole Townsend, sister, Mary Anne Bolls Ketcham, brother-in-law, Wayne Ketcham, sister-in-laws, Valerie Wylie (Al), Mary Ellen Walker (Jeff), brother-in-laws, Bob King, Mark King (Taylor), Steven King (Joan), aunt, Mary Lee Nance, cousins, Sharon Avant, Allyson Nance, David Nance (Susan), many loving nieces and nephews.
