Born of Enoch Marvin Allen and Julia Gertrude (Hinton) Allen on June 8, 1919, Faye was born and raised in Mississippi where she eventually met her husband, Ralph, who was training with the military at the time. Married September 29, 1941, Faye and Ralph traveled to new military assignments after World War II. After Assignments at 15 Military installations including Kansas, Alaska, Virginia, Alabama, Nebraska and Louisiana. In 1962, she and her husband, who retired as a full COLONEL from the United States Air Force, moved to Jackson and became owners of BOND PETROLEUM COMPANY, the Phillips 66 Jobbership for this part of west Tennessee. They operated that until 1975 when both retired and spent much of their time on the Tennessee River fishing!
Faye was preceded in death by her three brothers, Walter, Edwin and Hayes; her husband, Ralph.
She has two sons, David Bond who lives with his wife Marcia in La Quinta, California and John Bond who lives in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She has two granddaughters, Rebecca Faye (Bond) Timmons and husband Luke of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Jennifer Laura (Bond) Hobbs and husband Brian of Edmond, Oklahoma. She also has eight great grandchildren whom she loved very much.
If Faye could do one thing, it would probably be to go fishing. She was often included in the WDXI Radio report on Monday mornings with information on how her weekend fishing efforts had paid off. We do believe that the LORD is now directing which side of the boat to fish on…
