He was born October 24, 1939 in Linden AL, to the late Harland G. Glass and Lucille B. Glass. He graduated high school in 1958, and then joined the US Navy. He served in the Navy for 22? Years and retired as CPO. After retirement Cecil was an instructor for the military at various technical colleges.
Cecil was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Brenda D. Glass, his parents, and his sister Myrtha Pugh. Chief Glass is survived by his loving daughter Debbie Morris and son in law Mark Morris; and one grandson Andrew Morris; brothers Albert Glass of Linden AL, Dudley Glass (Ida) of Citronelle AL, sister Blanche Moye (Randy) of Ocean Springs, MS; a Godson Devlin Teague; and Goddaughter Erica Teague.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Linda Ecle and Bonnie Fulk, for their years of loving, and caring friendship for Cecil.

A graveside service will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 10:00 am, with procession leaving Oak Lawn at 9:45 am.
Pallbearers are Robert A. Ecle, Roberto A. Ecle, Charles Lohmann, Eric Teague, and Sean Gaherty.
