She was born on July 1, 1959 in Jackson, TN to Willadene Hailey Holmes and the late R. Kelly Holmes. She attended Happy Hollow School where she was the Queen of Happy Hollow. She was a member of Bemis United Methodist Church where she received a 32 year attendance Sunday School pin.
She was preceded in death by her father, R. Kelly Homes.
She is survived by her mother, Willadene Hailey Holmes; brother, Ralph Holmes (Jackie) of Jackson; nephew, Joe Kelly Holmes (Carrie); and a great niece Willow Grace “Gracie” Holmes.
A graveside service for Miss Holmes will be held on Sunday November 13, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Lester’s Chapel Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Friends are asked to gather in the cemetery prior to the service.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Lester’s Chapel Cemetery Fund or to Bemis United Methodist Church.
The family respectfully asks that no food be delivered to the family residence.
