Mrs. Dorothy Young, 91 of Jackson passed away on August 1, 2018. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday August 4, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with burial to follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Bro. Randy Carter will officiate the service.
She was born on June 27, 1927 in Madison County to the late Henry, and Millie Cox Carter. She was a beautician for many years and married to her late husband Tillman Young for 69 years until he passed away in 2014.
Other than her parents, and her husband Tillman, Mrs. Young was also preceded in death by a daughter Thelma Caswell and several siblings.
She leaves 3 Daughters; Sandra Carpenter (Bob), Loretta Lee (late-Wendell), Freida Spotts (Ray) one sister; Lillie E. Patterson, 7 grandchildren,17 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
A visitation with the family will be on Friday August 3, 2018 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons
