I always enjoyed talking to Mr. Ellis at the Jones Reunions. He would bring family pictures and historical items to share with us. He was my Mom's (Sara Jones Peddy) cousin.  And he was a Special Cousin to me.  Bonice Peddy Henson

Mr. Truett was a member of the Plectoral Society and always could play the ole time music so well he will be truly missed and his legacy will live on through all he did for his fellow man. So sorry for his family know the memories will always be cherished so much.

Please know that our family's thoughts and prayers are with you all in this difficult time.  Mr. Truett was an excellent teacher and coach.  I will always remember the times that I had during my middle school and high school days both sharing times in his home with my friend, Russ and as a young football player being mentored as a freshman.  Thank you for sharing him with all of us.
