

He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He was born on August 11, 1940 in Jackson, TN to the late Harvey C. Marcom Sr. and Edith Hair Marcom. He attended Jackson High School and graduated from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1963 receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.
Up until the time of his death, Harvey was President of The Reaves Firm, Inc., a Civil Engineering and Planning company in Memphis. After more than 50 years as an engineer, Harvey had seen everything from the beginnings of America’s Space Program to the growth of Tunica as a casino gaming destination. Harvey was involved in many of the most notable engineering and design projects in the Memphis area.
Harvey was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity at the University of Tennessee, the Engineers Club of Memphis, Rotary Club - Memphis Central, and the Memphis Chapter of Lambda Alpha International, a Land Economics Society where he recently received a Lifetime Achievement Award. He was faithful member of the Church of the Holy Spirit where he was a Knight of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Mary Snyder Marcom, sister Libby Marcom Smith of Jackson TN, and his two sons Greg Marcom and Scott Marcom (Lisa) both of Germantown, and four grandchildren Griffin, Abbie, Sarah and Allison Marcom, all of whom he adored dearly.
Harvey was a kind and gentle soul who was loved and respected by all those who knew him. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and co-workers.

A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, January 27th at 2:00pm at The Church of the Holy Spirit 2300 Hickory Crest Drive, Memphis.
