Janis Carolyn Killough Day

Janis left this world on April 16th 2023 after a short illness to be with her Lord and Savior.

She met the love of her life, Bobby Day, at Bemis Skating Rink and they married when she was only 17 years old. She was his personal bookkeeper for Day Construction and a loving mother to their three children. She enjoyed working in her yard, hosting and playing cards with The Apple Dumpling Gang and loved Christmas shopping and cooking for her family.

Janis was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bobby) Allen Day, her daughter Mary Katherine Crow, Three Brothers, Johnny Killough, James Killough, Larry Killough, Two Sisters, Lela Cole, Nell Heidelberg, and son-in-law Matt Lewis.

Janis is survived by sons Danny (Judy) Lafayette, Ga and Jim (Janeil) Jackson, Tn and Grandchildren Dr Robert (Brandi) Day, Jackson , Amanda Lewis - Collierville, TN, Heather Kee (Jonathan) - Mansfield, Dylan (Ashley) Day - Memphis, & Slayton (Brooke) Day - Jackson ,and great grand grandchildren Artem Day - California, Colby Day - Casper, Wy, Hannah Day - Jackson, LIvi Anne, Adaline, Jon Wilson Kee - Mansfield and Sykes Day - Memphis, and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Funeral services for Janis will be conducted at 1:30 pm Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Highland Memorial Sunday. Family and friends are welcome!

Memorial may be directed to the charity of the donors choice.
