Morris Leroy "Lee" Sanford

Funeral services for Mr. Sanford will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 2 p.m. from the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with Ben Flatt officiating. Interment will follow in Independence Cemetery in Henderson County, TN.

Active pallbearers to serve will be John Johnson, Denny Bush, Terry Smith, Bob Hunt, Jack Christie, and Terry Brandon.

Mr. Sanford was born on October 26, 1936 in Madison County, TN, the son of the late Morris Sanford and Ruby Storms Sanford. He retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation as a supervising engineer in the design department. He was a member of Madison County Church of Christ. He was an avid supporter of Tennessee Walking Horse shows in which his daughter participates. He was a loving husband and father.

In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Sanford Reynolds.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patsy Russell Sanford of Three Way, TN; daughter, Beth Sanford of Bell Buckle, TN; three brothers, Thomas Sanford (Mary Nell) of Luray, TN, Paul Sanford (Kate) of Troy, TN, and James Sanford (Carol) of Halifax, MA.

Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 beginning at 12 noon, two hours prior to the service at 2 p.m.
