Naomi Collins Murchison

She was born on February 19, 1932 in Madison County, the daughter of the late Harvey and Mary Lee Marsh Collins. She was a supervisor for International Paper Company and a member of Parkburg Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Murchison was preceded in death by two sisters, Maxine Walters and Alenia Diggs.

She is survived by her two sons, Ricky Murchison (Rita) of Gadsden, TN, and Gary Murchison (Lesia) of Linden, TN; three grandchildren, Brandy Crawford, Josh Murchison, and Amanda Burgess; five great grandchildren, Collin Murchison, Violet Crawford, Camille Crawford, Mason Murchison, and Elliot Crawford; and three sisters, Vernase Blackburn, Gladys Oliver, and Elizabeth "Libby" Michael.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, January 12, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. at George A. Smith and Sons South Chapel. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Parkburg Baptist Church with Bro. Danny Rachel officiating. Burial will follow in Parkburg Cemetery. Visitation will resume on Wednesday at 1 p.m., one hour prior to the funeral service at 2 p.m.

Active Pallbearers will be Josh Murchison, Brandon Smith, Barry Michael, Jacob Taylor, Chase McLean, and Slater McLean. Honorary Pallbearers will be Randy Oliver and James Buchanan.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed to Parkburg Baptist Church, 1180 Parkburg Rd., Pinson, TN 38366.
