Daddy, it’s been 8 years today and it still seems like yesterday. You wouldn’t like the world today. So much has changed but I do wish you could see your grand babies. I pray you and Jeannine and the rest of the family are together as a whole watching over the rest of us down here!  You’ll always be with me! I love you daddy!!

Dad I still miss you! The holidays are always hard but I know you’re at peace. You were always a strong man and taught me to stay strong as well! When times get hard I try to think what you might would say to me.

You were my friend, you were my brother in blue at JPD even after we both left, you were still my brother.  Our blood still ran blue. While at JPD, you treated me with respect and as an equal. You showed me, that wearing the badge meant strength, courage, integrity and honor, you were a brother who would lay down your life willingly to protect me and  others. You have fought a good fight, you have finished your work, you kept the faith. You showed us all that "Thru God all things are possible"no matter what is thrown at us in our lives. Heaven is a better place now with you there. One day we will meet again my dear friend and brother. Thank you for all the great memories we shared while working together at JPD, the laughs and the pranks you were always pulling on me.....like the night you and J.D. hand cuffed me to the fence after ambushing me at the end of our shift! The time you showed up at my door in Dec 2004 with a Christmas gift, snow and ice was on the ground, but there you were with a big smile on your face when I opened the door.  All I could do was cry over your gift and you were so excited, smiling, laughing and asking me if I liked it. As I stood there with your gift in my hand and crying..... you put your arms around me and said "Carol don't cry, you're my friend and I love you, I wanted to give you a present that would make you happy". I made us coffee and we sat and talked and that was a "special memory" I have of you, that I always remember at Christmas". You always thought of others and had a heart of gold. I'm so blessed for the gift of your friendship thru the years. You can rest in peace now Randy, all your pain, suffering and battles are over. You are now with our Lord, just please don't give Him a ticket!! You are now another guardian angel watching over us, like Sgt Andy, "Big" Dave and others. You are gone from this world now, but I will never forget you, my dear friend and brother. I will hold your memory in my heart always and know I was blessed to have known you, worked with you and to have you as a friend. You were one of the best police officers who walked thru the doors at JPD. I only hope I can have just half the courage you had to walk the road in my journey thru life until I too, am called home by our Lord. Tomorrow as you are laid to rest, I will shed many tears and my heart will be hurting for the loss of you, but I will always hold the memory of you in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with your family as they go thru the coming days with their grief of losing a father and a brother,

Another angel has been called home. My dear eldest brother is now at rest, no more pain. We can all share our memories but you will always be in our hearts. Your time as a Marine as well as a police officer are forever appreciated. My most cherished memory is when I ran away on moms wedding day, but YOU knew where to find me and talked me into coming down from the tree. Semper FI
