Robert Lee “Bobby” Cantrell departed this earth on December 5, 2018 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Bobby, known as “Bigdaddy,” was born in Jackson, TN on August 3, 1940 to the late I.F. “Buster” and Pearl Robinson Cantrell.
Bobby was retired, but worked all of his life as an amusement company operator. He was a loving, husband, father, and Bigdaddy to his family. To know him was to love him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Roland Cantrell.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Boykin Cantrell; Children, Robert Lee Cantrell, Jr. (Tina), Lisa Cantrell, and Brian Cantrell; and grandchildren, Brooke Cantrell (Shane Stout), Rob Cantrell III, Kalyn Warren (Mathew), Kyle Ross (Katelyn), and Madison Griggs; and great grandchildren, Zoey Chandler, Jones Warren, Delaney Warren, Reid Cantrell, Kaden Ross, and Kylie Ross.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons.
The funeral service is to be conducted on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with Bro. Bert Spann officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers to serve are John Lindsey, Chris Cornelison, Shane Stout, Rob Cantrell, Kyle Ross, Michael Hardee, Archie Hardee, and Mathew Warren.
