Funeral Services for Robert E. Sawyer, age 78, will be Friday, January 7, 2011 at 2 p.m., at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons, with Tim Sanderson officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery near Medina, TN.
Mr. Sawyer, a retired welder, passed away January 5, 2011 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He is survived by two sons, John Sawyer (Alice) and Wesley Sawyer (Jennifer); a daughter, Angela Bain (Todd); eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; a step-son, Charles Threadgill (Donna) and a son-in-law, Donald Ray.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Ray.
Visitation with the Sawyer Family will be Thursday, January 6th from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., and resume on Friday, January 7th from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons
