She was born on October 1, 1926, one of nine children born to the late James Arthur and Mary Pedigo Goff. She was married to Otto Martin Chapman for 52 years. When her children were young, she was a homemaker and then after they were grown she was in Catalog Sales for the Sears Corporation. She later went back to school and worked as a Cotton Classer for the United States Department of Agriculture.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Martin Chapman; her son, Martin Chapman; and eight siblings.
She is survived by her daughter, Pat Chapman Weir of Jackson; three granddaughters, Amy, Kate, and Sarah; a special daughter, Wilda Barton; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 1-2 p.m. at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Bro. Gary Snuffin, Senior Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in May Cemetery in Houston, AR.
