Archie Sue Barber 90 of Jackson died September 30, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 4, at 10:00 am at George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel. The funeral will be at 11:00 am with burial in Ridgecrest Cemetery.
Sue was born in Medina, TN on October 9, 1925 to the late Archie G. Dunavan and Annie Lou Dunavan. She was a beautician for over 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Barber and her sister, Myra Welch. She is survived by her daughters Suzanne Jones of Fayette County, TN and Judy (Bobby) Jowers of Jackson. She has four grandchildren, Paul Jones (Amanda), Elizabeth (Forrest) Williams, Olivia (Blake) Weibert, Amelia Jowers and four great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gilroy, Dr. Vegors, Dr. Sioson, and their nurses for their care. Also, the family thanks her devoted caregiver, Tammy Webb, her husband Lynn, and their children, Raelyn Webb, and Tamela Webb Pierce.
