

Abla Cadoura Mousa, age 82, passed away Sunday morning, February 2, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Abla was born in Ramallah, Palestine on March 18, 1942, to her parents, the late Khalil Jeries Cadoura and the late Yasmine Marshoud Cadoura.
Upon her marriage, Abla moved with her husband to the United States where she lived in Corpus Christi, Texas, and later moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1967. She was a founding parishioner of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church and was also an active member of the Ramallah American Club of Jacksonville, where she served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered her time to facilitate activities centered around her Palestinian culture, traditions, and heritage. Abla had an extensive career working side by side with her loving husband in various business ventures. Later in life, Abla served on staff at Mayo Clinic as an Arabic interpreter and as an administrative aide at multiple Duval County Public Schools.
Abla is predeceased by her husband, Jack Easa Mousa, and her sisters, May Mardini (the late Zohair) and Doris Samaan. She is survived by her son, Easa R. Mousa (Amy); and her daughters, Jackie Bateh (Ted), and Shirley Kishek (Elias); her eight grandchildren, Justin (Lora), Dn. Eric (Shereen), Tyler (Katrina), Faris (Sarah), Rami, Tarek, Kristen, and Matthew; seven great-grandchildren Olivia, Thomas, Juliette, Lucas, Zachary, Matthew, and Theodore; sisters Muna (the late Isa), Rima (the late Freddie), Hanan (the late Fahed), Samia (George), and Carolin (Bassam); and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews, and extended family members.
The family will hold visitation on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM followed by a Trisagion Prayer Service at 6:00 PM. A funeral service, presided over by V. Rev. Archpriest Dr. Fr. Kamal Al-Rahil, will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM. All visitation and funeral services will be held at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 6300 Bowden Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32216. A graveside committal will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida 32207 immediately following the funeral service.
