

Alan K. Proctor 67 lost his battle with cancer and was greeted by all the hosts in heaven on Jun 19, 2024. He was at Mayo in Jacksonville where he received his treatments since December 2023. He was surrounded by his loving wife Diana, son Cory, daughter, Lauren and his beloved sister, Donna.
After graduating from Doughtery High School in Albany, GA, Alan began his career in homebuilding industry with Jim Watler Homes. He quickly rose to the level of Regional Vice- President. While there is where he met and married the love of his life, Diana. They would spend 39 years together building a happy life. Alan’s next career move took them to Jacksonville, FL, where he spent multiple years in the Mortgage Servicing industry working in leadership roles with Bank of America, Greenpoint Credit, EverBank, Homeside Lending and Triad Financial Services where he was employed at the time of his death.
Alan was grateful for the long-lasting friendships made during his career. He was known as a hardworking boss who was bottom line focused. He led his teams expecting the same dedication from them but loved to laugh and celebrate with them.
Alan’s primary love was for his family. He and Diana doted on their daughter, Lauren, who was a Daddy’s girl, Also, loved his son Cory very much and looked forward to visiting with him and his family. Alan enjoyed spending time with his parents, sister, and brother. He also enjoyed spending time with all his grandchildren. He also became close with Diana’s (3) brothers that he called his own, and this was the essence of Alan Proctor.
Alan enjoyed playing golf and tennis until his precious daughter came along and his priorities changed. Alan also loved landscaping, going to the beach, decorating the house for the holidays. He also enjoyed entertaining and getting together with friends and loved his Georgia Bulldogs.
Alan is pre-deceased by his father, J. Donald Proctor of St Simons Island, GA, his brother, Jeffrey Matthew Proctor of Brunswick, GA. Surviving family members include his mother, Mable Proctor, and sister Donna Nedik both of St. Simons Island, GA. His beloved wife Diana Proctor, Jacksonville, FL, daughter, Lauren Walton (Garth) of Fernandina, FL. Son, Cory Proctor (Jamie) of Panama City, FL, Four grandsons, Brantley Walton, Devin, Drew, and Luke Guy, Three granddaughters, Adelyn Proctor, Paisley and Kinsley Walton and a niece Nicole Osika (Drew) children Savanah and Hunter Osika.
The family would like to acknowledge the Mayo Jacksonville Oncology Center and Hospital for the high standard of care given to Alan.
A Memorial service will be held at St Simons United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 2:00pm with Reverend Tom Jones officiating. Family and friends are welcome to attend a graveside service at Taylor's Church Cemetery, Old Jessup Road, Brunswick, GA following the memorial service.
