It is with great love and deep sadness that the family of Amelia C. Felter, affectionately known as Amy, announces her passing on November 13, 2025. Born on June 1, 1940, in Fort Benning, Georgia, Amy spent her childhood on her family’s farm in Starke, Florida—an upbringing that shaped her strong work ethic, warm heart, and deep appreciation for family.
Amy devoted her life to creating a loving home for her children. As a homemaker, she poured her energy, patience, and tenderness into raising her son, Scott Felter, and her daughter, Kellee Lombardo, who will forever cherish her guiding presence and unconditional love.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard H. Felter, her partner in life and love. Amy is also survived by her siblings—Ginger Chambers, Gail Walker, Knute Coleman, and Charles Coleman—each of whom held a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by her older brother, Nolan Coleman, with whom she is now reunited in eternal peace with the Lord.
Amy will be remembered for her gentle spirit, compassion, resilience, and the quiet strength she brought to every chapter of her life. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished and the countless loving memories she leaves behind.
A brief committal-shelter service will be held in her honor on November 20, 2025, at Jacksonville National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with dignity and love.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests you donate to two causes close to Amy's heart:
Interfaith Emergency Services Inc
One More Child (Florida Baptist Children’s Homes (FBCH))
A committal service will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery, located at 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218, United States. The service is scheduled for November 20, 2025, from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
