Amy Q. Davis passed to Heaven peacefully on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 in Jacksonville , FL. She was born in Decatur, GA February 3, 1936 and lived most of her adult life in Jacksonville. She was predeceased by Joe, her husband of 60 years in December of 2019.
Amy was a longtime member and very active in the Deermeadows Baptist Church. After her retirement from the insurance industry workforce in 1996 she served in the Wolfson Children’s Hospital Auxiliary where she was able to impact countless children and their families.
Amy was an avid Gator fan, loved to travel and a lover of all animals, especially cats.
Mrs. Davis loved her family and the many blessings and good times they brought to her. She is survived by her daughter, Melisa Colby (Gardner), and son Joie (Lenka), grandchildren Corey Colby (Dawn) and Holly Colby and great grandchildren, Bryson, Skylah and Raegan.
Services will be officiated by Dr. Larry Yarborough of Deermeadows Baptist Church. Visitation and viewing will be at the Oaklawn Chapel at 4801 San Jose Blvd on Wednesday, April 13th at 10:00 with the service following at 11:00 am.
