She was born on November 12, 1940 in Burlington, Wisconsin to George and Emma (Grossman) Schmidt. She spent her days caring for her family and being one of the most loving, caring, and joy seeking women around. She met her husband, Herbert Wright, as kids and to be honest was not his fan. Herb left for the military and upon return they went out on a date and hit it off. Eventually, as history shows with them, she fell for his charm and they wed July 6, 1963. They went on to have two children; a daughter, Emma and son, Herbert. Anna was known for bringing laughter, goofiness, and smiles to all and maybe a few butt squeezes and under chin squeezes (you know that area under the chin before the neck that’s real tender if you pinch it; that’s the one, she was a master at pinching that!)
Anna was devoted to her husband for fifty amorous years until Herb passed away on October 30, 2013. They had the most admirable love for each other and I am sure Herb was waiting at the golden gates with his arms wide open ready, willing, and patient for a beautiful kiss from his wife once again. Their love story can continue on together as they always wanted. A special memory is how every time they got in the car together, they would lean over to kiss each other, literally every single time!!
She is preceded in death by her father, George, and mother, Emma. She is survived by her two children, Emma Behnken and spouse James Behnken, and Herbert Wright and spouse Darci Stahl-Wright. She was one of seven children and preceded in death by all except her brother, Albert Schmidt. She is also survived by her six grandchildren; Thomas Behnken and spouse Jessica Behnken, Cassy Haley and spouse Shawne Haley, Phoenda Obee and spouse Jeremy Obee; as well as her seven great-grandchildren, CJ, John, Hazel, Cora, Kylie, Leroy, and Brett.
We are deeply saddened during this time of loss but keep our spirits up knowing that regardless of our sadness here, there is love and Joy in heaven as two become one once more.
