Annie K. Jones

Annie Katherine Jones, 81, passed away on February 22, 2012. Born on June 26, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Annie Mae and H. Lester Jones of Jacksonville. Ann graduated from Washington Seminary High School in Atlanta, Ward Belmont Junior College in Nashville, and Rollins College. Ann was a lifelong member of Avondale United Methodist Church and worked for many years at First National Bank and later First Union Bank at the Lakeshore office.

Ann was preceded in death by her brother, Robert L. Jones. Survivors include her aunt, Rhoda H. Ingram of Griffin, Georgia; her sister-in-law, Johnella H. Jones; four nieces and their husbands, Katie and Gresham Stoneburner, Ann and Bill Cranford, Reidy and Bill Boyd, and Elizabeth and Lee Wimberley; eleven great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great nephew.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 2, 2012 at Avondale United Methodist Church. A reception in the fellowship hall will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Avondale United Methodist Church or St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
