Anwar Nassar Eadeh

1940 – 2021

On the morning of March 24, 2021, Anwar Nassar Eadeh of Jacksonville, FL passed away peacefully in his sleep. Anwar was born on April 27, 1940 in Yaffa, Palestine to Nassar and Bahia Eadeh. He married the love of his life, Salwa Elias Tannous on June 14, 1970 and was blessed with two sons, Khalid Nassar and Waleed Michael.

Anwar left his homeland of Palestine and immigrated to the Unites States in 1961. As a young man Anwar explored and worked his way across his adopted county. Once married, he settled his new family in Jacksonville, FL where he worked in the flooring industry. After several years he moved to Pennsylvania to be closer to his family and worked with his brother at Hanna Eadeh Rug Company. Returning to Jacksonville, Anwar continued to work in the flooring industry until his retirement in 2005.

Anwar will be remembered for his infectious personality and smile. He loved taking road trips to visit family, watching sports, playing cards with his friends, watching the game show network, and spending time with his grandson Andrew. Never able to sit still for very long, Anwar was a bundle of energy that was hard to contain.

Anwar Nassar Eadeh was predeceased by his father Nassar Hanna Khalil Eadeh, mother Bahia Mousa Michael, son Khalid Nassar Eadeh, his in-laws Elias and Badia Tannous. Additionally his brothers Khalil, Hanna, George and Yacoub and his sister, Evelyn. His sister- in- laws, Farah and Hyidah Eadeh and brother- in- laws Joe Paone, David and George Tannous. Anwar is survived by his wife of 50 years, Salwa, son Waleed (Jaime) Eadeh and his grandson Andrew Anwar Eadeh. His brother, Yousef (Jacqueline) Eadeh and sister Helen (Atalla) Tannous. His sister- in- laws Eleanor and Elham Eadeh, Widad and Hiam Tannous. His brother- in- law Fuad (Suzie) Tannous. As well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends all around the world.

Services will be held at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, located at 6300 Bowden Road, Jacksonville, FL 32216 on March 27, 2021. Visitation will be begin at 12 pm with funeral services following immediately from 1 to 2 pm and ending with a graveside service at Oaklawn Cemetery at 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207. Due to the current circumstances of the Coronavirus pandemic, and out of abundance of caution and concerns for everybody safety, as well as the CDC guidelines; the funeral service for the late Anwar Eadeh will be limited to 100 People at the church. However, condolences may also be offered to the family via phone call/ text messages or via Facebook.

Please note: Facemask covering the nose and mouth are required to be worn by all attendees of the service at all times.
