Audrey Larue Golden

Audrey was born August 25, 1927 in coffins Grove Iowa, a rural farming community, to George and Velma (Wheeler) Wolmutt. Audrey has three siblings; Bob, John and Mary (Barta). She passed peacefully at the age of 94 in her Jacksonville, Florida home on May 4, 2022 surrounded by her family. Audrey was preceded in death by her cherished husband of 67 years, John J. Golden, her brother Bob, and two grandchildren; Melissa Rex and Rick Grannis. She survived by her for daughters; Connie Ellington, Jan Cameron, Maureen Rex and Pat Robertson. She was blessed with twelve grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren. Audrey was a retired banker, an avid outdoorswoman and enjoy camping, canoeing, motorcycle trips, travel and attending bluegrass festivals with her family. She was a lifelong member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars - Women’s Auxiliary. She managed the Veterans Administration Van Transport program for the state of Oregon as a volunteer.
