Barbara C. Conner

Barbara Caverly Conner, age 75, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Thursday, May, 26. Ms. Conner was born on March 21, 1936, in Tampa, Florida to the late Kenneth Russell Hood Caverly and Henrietta Ailene Tennant Caverly. After moving from Tampa at the young age of 5 and growing up in Jacksonville, Barbara enjoyed a career and a life in golf. Having worked at several golf courses during her career, she spent most of the time at Hyde Park Golf Course, where she held her low score record of 67.

Barbara is survived by her sons; Gene A. Conner, Jr., and John M. Conner and wife Catherine, Daughters; Charlene C. Walls and husband Bruce and Sarah E. Conner, brother; Guy W. Caverly, five grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home Edgewood Chapel, 729 S. Edgewood, Jacksonville, Florida 32205 904-388-2711. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 10:00AM – 11:00AM, immediately preceding the memorial service.
