ALKHOURY - Basem Joudat Alkhoury, 56, died on Sunday May 22, 2011. He was born on June 12, 1954 in Homs, Syria to Joudat and Nadima Kara Alkhoury. He was an owner operator of several local businesses. He will be greatly missed by those he loved. He was predeceased by his father and brother Mark.Survivors include his Mother, Nadima Kara Alkhoury; Brothers, Sam Alkhoury (Cindee) and Mike Alkhoury; Sisters, Mary Hanonik (Arteen) and Raymonda Shabo (John); Sons, Ronnie Louis Yazgi (Christine) and Issam Mark Alkhoury; Daughters, Georgina Yazgi Essa (Michael), Mary Anne Alkhoury and Nicole Lynn Alkhoury; Grandson, Christian Yazgi; Former Wife, Haifa Alkhoury; And several Nieces, Nephews, Aunts and Uncles. The viewing will be on Thursday, May 26, 2011 from 10:30 till 11:00 a.m. at Mother of God of the Zunoro Syrian Orthodox Church, 802 Mandalay Rd. Prayer Services will begin at 11 a.m. in the church with Rev. Fr. Mouris Amsih officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd.
