Berta Proctor, 100, of Jacksonville, FL passed away Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024. She was born Oct. 25, 1923, in Subiaco, Arkansas. She was a beloved mother and grandmother. Berta was a lifelong Catholic and homemaker. She died peacefully in her sleep at River Garden Hebrew Home in Jacksonville, FL.
She is survived by daughter, Sandra Proctor Eaton of Jacksonville, FL. and grandson, Kyle O. Eaton of Kingsland, GA. Berta is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Anna (Forst) Lux, daughter, Terri Lynne Proctor and her former husband Sol H. Proctor. She was also preceded in death by seven sisters and two brothers.
Her family is requesting donations in lieu of flowers to the River Garden Hebrew Home in her honor.
A graveside service for Bertha will be held Monday, February 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 North Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206.
