Bertram J. Sandler, 89, died peacefully at his home on March 19, 2013. The son of Oscar and Jean Sandler of Mt. Vernon New York, he is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marilyn, two sons, Edward Sandler and his wife Jacki of the Orlando area and their children, and Scott Sandler and his wife, Gale, of the metro D.C. area and their children. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during World War II in the Signal Service Battalion and served in Okinawa. After exiting the service he worked as a government employee in the US and aboard in four countries and traveled with his wife all over the world.
