Bessie E. Stanley, age 98, passed away at her residence in Jacksonville on November 16, 2015. She was born on October 5, 1917 in Loris, South Carolina to William and Ellen Fowler. She moved to Jacksonville 73 years ago.
Prior to retirement she was employed by Kind Edwards Cigar company for five years and the worked for the Maxwell House Coffee Company for the next 15 years, both in Jacksonville.
She is survived by her son, David B. Stanley Sr. of Jacksonville, FL and her daughter, Wanda Hinkle of Cleveland, TN and 9 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and a great-great- grandchild.
A Graveside service will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32207 with Chaplin David Holladay officiating.
Interment will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery.
