Petersen Betty Spivey Petersen, 79, passed away on Saturday April 11, 2008. She was born in Sedalia, Mo and had moved to Jacksonville with her husband’s job at Seaboard Coastline Railroad in 1967.She was a longtime member of Parkwood Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husbands John Spivey and J.E.Petersen and her sister, Shirley Strickland.Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Sunday in the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Private burial will be held on Monday in Arlington Park Cemetery.Mrs. Petersen is survived by her son, Stephen L. Spivey; sister, Frances Parsons; brother, Donald L. Becker (Virginia); nieces, Deborah Jarvis, Sharon McLaughlin and Cathy Odum; nephews, Larry Parsons, Ronald Strickland and Daniel Becker; and many other loving relatives and friends.
