Beverly Grace Warner, daughter of Joseph and Olive Hogan, was born May 10, 1929 in Biwabik, Minnesota. Beverly had two half-brothers, Robert and Gordon Faber, from her mother’s first marriage and one sister, Mary June. When asked what the defining moments in her life were, she responded her baptism. She went on to list the other sacraments. Beverly’s Catholic faith was her foundation. When Morton Warner asked her, very casually, if she’d ever consider marrying him, she gave a firm, “no!”. Morton started taking instructions from their local priest and became a Catholic. He received his First Holy Communion at their wedding mass. They practiced their faith together and made sure that their children were brought up in the
faith.
Beverly dropped out of Saint Scholastica Catholic College to marry Morton. They proceeded to have 7
children: Patrick, Mark, Paul, Peter, Zachary, Terese, and Christopher. When Chris started kindergarten,
Beverly went back to college and received her Bachelor’s in Education. She then began teaching grade school. Eventually, she started working on her Master’s degree in Education and ended up achieving a Doctorate in Education. She did this all while teaching, raising a family and running the household. Beverly was tireless. God called Beverly home on October 8, 2021. She is survived by her 7 children, 13 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. It was a life well lived.
A memorial mass for Beverly will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM at San Juan Del Rio Catholic Church, 1718 State Road 13, Saint Johns, FL 32259.
