

She was born in Kansas City Missouri to Stewart and Grace Johnson. Ruth attended The University of Central Missouri, where she was a Tri-Sigma sister.
She moved to Jacksonville in 1970 and was a pre-school teacher at Little House in the Forest, Alderman Park Civic Association member and Jacksonville Garden Club member. In 1980 Ruth was a Psychiatric Medical Secretary at University Hospital. Where she met the love of her life husband Bryce Lynwood Sellers. Who predeceased her in March.
She leaves behind her loving children; Margot Dye Plonk, William Stewart Dye and Cyndi Dye Brozovich. She was called “Honey” by Grandchildren; Eric Hellstrand, Tyler Hellstrand, Gracie Plonk, Stephen Howell, Madison Rodriguez, Alex Plonk, Adrienne Plonk, Loran Brown, Kortney Brozovich and Joshua Brozovich. “MaMa Honey” also had 16 great-grandchildren.
Ruth Ann will also be fondly remembered as a funny, caring and devoted friend and neighbor.
Graveside inurnment service for Ruth and Lynwood Sellers to be laid to rest together will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32207, Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 11 AM.
