

Carl Edward Waldrep, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on January 20, 2012 at the age of 68. He was born in Memphis, TN on August 4th, 1943 to Mary Berry and Carl Waldrep and grew up in Marion, Arkansas. He is survived in death by his wife of 37 years, Betty K. Waldrep; son, Mark Kennedy and his wife Christina; daughters, Diana Waldrep Tabor and her husband Dean, Jennifer L. Roberts and her husband, Jimmy, and Erika Michelle Waldrep; sister, Mary Carolyn Waldrep; grandchildren, Amanda Swaney, Trevor Kennedy, Michael Roberts, Taylor Roberts and Greggory Roberts; and great granddaughter, Aaliyah Swaney. Mr. Waldrep retired as Senior Vice President, Investment Manager from Wachovia Bank in 2004 and was a founding partner of St. Nicholas Private Asset Management, Inc., of Jacksonville. Mr. Waldrep achieved the designation Chartered Financial Analyst during his banking career. Mr. Waldrep was a member of San Jose Church of Christ for 15 years, and in 1991, became a member of Christ’s Church and was heavily involved in church activities at both. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, January 24, 2012 in the chapel at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. Pastor Randy Hale of Christ’s Church will officiate. The family has requested memorial contributions be made to Community Hospice of NE FL or to Taylor Care Center.
