Carrie Mae Wiggins

Carrie was born October 22, 1933, in Albemarle North Carolina, she resided in the North Side area of Jacksonville Florida for many years.

She is preceded in death by husband Earl B. Wiggins, Sr., son in-law Danny Sykes, mother and father Grover and Pauline Russell of Albemarle North Carolina and son Jeffrey Lane Simpson.

She is survived by daughter and son in-law Lee and Andy Hawkins, daughter Dee Dee Sykes, grandchildren Nathan Krasowski, Carly and Jess Biesiada, Daniel Sykes, Ginger and Drew, great-grandchildren, Devin, Mikey, Little Danny, Dylan, Dixie, Dakodah, Maylie, Haylie and Kaylie.

Memorial Services are being held in the Chapel at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home at 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 2:00PM.

Carrie enjoyed life most when she was around family who she loved very much. Always there to help with anything and always willing to listen with compassion. She will always be the beloved BamMaw to all the great grands. She loved to cook, camp, hand crafts, music and dancing. Carrie joined North Jax Moose Lodge Chapter 1517 in 1980 and was a very active member for many years.

She grew up in the Baptist faith and belonged to several churches over the course of her life. Her relationship with God was strong and forever present.

She will be remembered for her strength, love, and compassion. She will be so dearly missed.
