Charles Chuck Shannon Lysaght Jr.

Born September 7, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Died October 7, 2013 in Jacksonville, FL.

Chuck is survived by his mother, Barbara Lysaght, his sisters, Mary Lysaght and Barb McQuarrie, brother-in-law, Tom McQuarrie, niece and nephew, Keith and Shana McQuarrie

He graduated from Manatee High School in Bradenton, FL in 1971

and attended Manatee Community College.

Chuck moved to Jacksonville from Bradenton FL in 1990. He was most recently employed by Specialty Freight & Courier as a bike messenger, making him a recognizable presence in the urban core and surrounding areas. Featured in several newspaper articles, one noted that he was logging as many as 250 miles per week.

Chuck’s passion was cycling, and people rarely saw him without his bright yellow Specialized bike. Chuck also enjoyed playing guitar, writing songs and poetry, photography, cooking, and spending time with friends and family and his cat, Karma.
