With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Clara Ann Underwood, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend to many. She passed away peacefully on 17 April 2026 at the age of 88 in Jacksonville, Florida.
She was born in June 1937 in Huntingburg, Indiana. She married her high school sweetheart, Bennie Underwood, who then joined the Navy and the two of them spent the next 21 years traveling around the country to different duty stations and ultimately settled down in Winter Park, Florida where they lived for many years.
She was known for her love of gardening and spending time with family playing games.
Clara is survived by four of her children; Mark, Lynn, Renee and Kevin, her ten grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband Bennie and oldest daughter Debbie.
The family will be having a private memorial service in St. Petersburg, Florida on May 1st.
