

Clarence H. McCall, 97, of Jacksonville, FL, died at his home in the comfort of family on August 20, 2015, following complications from a fall and surgery in April. Clarence was born in Carbur, FL on January 17, 1918. He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Force, and was employed in the Jacksonville area for many years as an aircraft technician by the US Navy’s Civil Service work force, most of that time at NAS Jacksonville. He was a long-time member of the Lake Shore Baptist Church, where he served for many years as a deacon and church leader. He was also a Mason, and a member of the Wesconnett Lodge.
Clarence is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy (Dot) McCall; son, Phil (Liz) McCall of Suwanee, GA; granddaughter Kelly (Aaron) Mountain of Fredericksburg, VA; grandson, Spencer (Tara) McCall, both serving in the US Army at Fort Benning, GA; great-grandson Dexter McCall; half-sister Betty Wilkins of Salem, FL; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was predeceased by his parents, Josh and Ruby McCall; brothers, Lester, Albert, Lawrence, and Charles McCall; twin sister, Clara Hendry; sisters Ruby McCall and Audrey James; stepmother Esther McCall; and, half-brother, Bobby Joe McCall.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, August 25th in Lake Shore Baptist Church, 2365 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32210 with Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at 2:00pm in Jacksonville Memory Gardens 111 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL 32073.
