

OBIOZOR- Dr. Clarence Nwabunwanne Obiozor, 71, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017. Dr. Obiozor was born in Nkwelle, Nigeria and had lived in Jacksonville since 1994. He owned and operated FrancBeth Books, an educational bookstore for many years. He was a distinguished professor of Electrical Engineering and taught at the Tuskegee University in Alabama for 6 years and the University of North Florida for 7 years. Clarence was preceded in death by his son, Alexander Obiozor and is survived by his wife of over 42 years, May Obiozor; a daughter, Elizabeth C. Obiozor; 2 sons, Martin Ogugua Obiozor and Francis I. Obiozor; one sister, Christianna Okaro; one brother, Michael Obiozor; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2017, at Resurrection Catholic Church with Fr. Peter Akin-Otiko, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 18, at the Church. Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida 32211 assisting the family with arrangements.
In addition, there will be a Celebration of Life on Friday,evening at 7:00 p.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church sponsored by the Nigerian Community - all are welcome.
