Danny Barker

BARKER Daniel Joseph Barker, 34, passed away on Saturday May 9, 2009 in Jacksonville. Daniel was born in Valdosta, Georgia and lived in Jacksonville most of his life. He was a graduate of Terry Parker High School, a member of Life Teen and a member of Emmaus. Danny loved playing his guitar and cooking for family and friends. He had a very kind and generous nature and was deeply devoted to his faith. He was a proud godfather to Stephen and a wonderful uncle to his nieces and nephews. Survivors are his parents Bruce and Dianne Barker; sisters, Tanya AmRhein (Mike), Donna Espiritu (David) and Nancy Rodriquez (Jose); brother, Chris Barker; nieces and nephews, Alyssa, Eric, Nicky, Darby Dianne, Stephen, William and Noah; and many other loving relatives and friends who will miss him fondly. A Rosary will be held at 6:30 pm on Wednesday May 13, 2009 at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. with visitation at the funeral home from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.There will be a Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 am on Thursday May 14, at Resurrection Catholic Church, 3383 University Blvd. in lieu of flowers the family requests memorials in Danny’s name to Resurrection Catholic School, 3383 University Blvd. Jax, FL. 32277.
