David Earl Pope, 70, passed away on April 17, 2019 in Jacksonville, Fl. David was born on June 4, 1948 in Brunswick, Ga to Oscar Royd Pope and Winnie Warren Pope. He moved to Jacksonville at a very young age. He was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School and had retired from the State of Florida after 30 years of service. David was an avid Florida "Gator" and Jacksonville "Jaguar" Fan. He was a member of Kernan Blvd. Baptist Church.
He was predeceased by his parents, brother and daughter, Ann Nesmith.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Carol; loving daughter, Terri J. Pope; sister, Janine Barker; grandsons, Malachi and Noah Nesmith and other relatives and friends.
A visitation with David's family will be 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL. 32211
A Celebration of his life will be 10:00 am Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at the Kernan Blvd. Baptist Church, 4000 Kernan Blvd. S., Jacksonville, FL 32224
