Dawna lived a life marked by strength, independence, a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life, and her family. After retiring from accounting work, she found great happiness in traveling across the country in her RV, embracing the freedom of the open road and the beauty of nature. Whether tending to her yard or listening to Irish music, Dawna cultivated a life filled with personal passions and meaningful moments.
Dawna was a devoted mother to her children, Sharon (Joe) and Bret. She also embraced her role as a stepmother to Rebecca (Mike), Joey (Jennifer), and the late Murray. Her love extended across generations to her grandchildren—Nathan, Jacob, Josephine, and Jackson—and to her many step-grandchildren: Shaun (Holly), Mikey (Alicia), Matthew (Kiana), Mason, Jeffery, Maegan, Colton, Luke, Ashley, Alyssa, and Cooper. As well as her step-great-grandchildren.
Dawna was predeceased by her beloved husband Larry, her parents Nathan and Jean, and stepson Murray. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her years.
Her family remembers Dawna as a woman of resilience and spirit—someone who charted her own path with determination and grace. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
