Dewey Rudolph "Rudy" Waters

WATERS, Dewey Rudolph “Rudy” Waters, 93, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. Mr. Waters was an active member and Sunday School teacher at Cedar Bay Baptist Church where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 20, with Pastor Bill Tyler officiating. The family will receive friends one (1) hour prior to the services, at the church. Interment will be held at 9:00 AM Monday, May 22, at Jacksonville National Cemetery (Lane #1) with military honors. Mr. Waters served his country as a sergeant with the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII and was a retired salesman from Gulf Life Insurance Company. He was predeceased this past September by his wife of 69 years, Eunice Waters; along with 1 grandson, Stephen Shaw and 2 great grandchildren, Hailey Shaw and Dyllon Gearin. Survivors include his daughter, Rhonda (Jim) Shaw; 1 son, Larry (LeeAnn) Waters; 4 grandchildren: Aaron (Jenny), Shelly, Stacy (Matt) & Matthew; 7 great grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.
