Don was an avid ‘tinkerer’. He loved working on and restoring motorcycles and cars, and could fix, weld, or build just about anything. He worked for USAirways as an aircraft mechanic for many years and retired as a Maintenance Manager. After retiring, he enjoyed many traveling adventures with Blanca and friends, caring for his pets, and imparting his words of wisdom and stories.
Don is survived by his wife of 35 years Blanca Brooks, three daughters Kelly Hofelt, Amy Lewis and Brenda Kowaluk, stepdaughter Gisell Ortega, stepson Ryan Sarabia along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Don was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents Ray and Twila Brooks, sisters Barbara Heberling and Shirley Fleck.
Memorial Services for Don Brooks will be held Thursday, July 29, 2021 at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, 127 Stone Mason Way, Ponte Vedra FL 32081. Rosary will be at 10:00 followed by Mass at 10:30.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or St. John Paul II Catholic Church.
