Don served in the United States Navy during the Korean War, and after serving he made a career in accounting. He lived an interesting life filled with travel, friends and family. He enjoyed bowling, camping, and golfing. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville.
Don is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean Dolan. He is also survived by his sons, James Dolan of Jacksonville, Scott Dolan (wife Vicky) of Round Rock, Texas, and Matt Burns (wife Donna) of Marshall, Texas; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 10am until 11am at Hardage-Giddens Mandarin Chapel, 11801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32223. A Graveside service will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 N Main St., Jacksonville, FL 32206.
