Donna Peters Brooks

Donna P. Brooks passed away peacefully on October 4th, 2014 after battling cancer since May. She was born in Marion, NC where she met and married her husband, Ted H. Brooks, Jr. Donna moved to Jacksonville with her husband and daughters, Brandy and Keeley, in 1988. Donna stayed at home to take care of her daughters. She was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church and volunteered regularly in the church office. Her husband passed away in 2005. Donna has enjoyed playing with and helping to take care of her grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her daughters, Brandy and Keeley, and her grandchildren, Tallulah, Noah, and Lucy. The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 8:00pm on Tuesday, October 7th, in the Christian Activity Center of Lakewood United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, October 8th, at Lakewood United Methodist Church with Reverend Scott Farman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lakewood United Methodist Church, 6133 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32217 and Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
