Doris was a 1950 graduate of Fort Hill High School in Cumberland, Maryland and was currently a resident of The Coves at River Garden. She retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield after many years of service as an executive secretary.
She is predeceased by her father, William P. True; mother, Vivian True Erichsen; sister, Ruth Berkenbaugh and brother, William K. True. She is survived by husband John Donnangelo of Jacksonville, FL, four children Barbara Rowe (Mike), Lawrence Dickey, Larry Bruce Oates, Jr. and Brian Oates (Christy). Eight grandchildren James Abbott (Tosha), Kelly Rowe and Michael Rowe, Jr. (Barbie), Julia Oates, Levi Oates and Chase Oates; three step grandchildren Gia Martin, Dakota Mills, Trinity Mills and two great grandchildren, Jude and Olivia Rowe. Also survived by Gina Hansrote and family.
A visitation for Doris will be held Friday, January 10, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Hardage - Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207, followed by a committal service from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
