Edward E. Hummell

Edward E. Hummell was born in Sharon, PA on November 10, 1933. The youngest son of Charles Hummell and Beatrice Hummell Whitfield he is predeceased by his parents, stepfather Marvin Whitfield and brother William Charles "Bill" Hummell. Edward fulfilled his life in Jacksonville, FL on February 4, 2013. Edward was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country with honor. He retired from Chevron Corporation. Survivors include his beloved wife of 35 years Peggy Weathers Hummell, children Karen Hummell, Sharon Hummell Brown and Steve E. Hummell (Ann) of North Port, FL. Stepchildren Patricia Avery Driscoll (Jerry) of Chattanooga, TN and Bradley Avery (Claudia) of Jacksonville, FL. A devoted sister Yvonne Whitfield Early (Joel) of St. Cloud, FL. Grandchildren Stephanie Brown Rice (Nathan) of Davis-Monthan AFB Tucson, AZ., Aaron Brown of FL. and Stacie Brown Eberhardt (Daniel) of Navarre, FL., Ryan S. Driscoll(Hannah) of Savannah, GA, Kevin R. Driscoll of Chattanooga, TN and Carlos B. Avery of Jacksonville, FL. Laura Dean of Marietta GA., Holly Hesse of Marietta GA. Nine great grandchildren.

Calling Hours will be Friday, February 8, 2013 from 12-1pm at the Hardage-Giddens Hendricks Chapel located at 4115 Hendricks Ave. Jacksonville FL 32207. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Friday, February 8, 2013 in the Hendricks Avenue Chapel. Interment with military honors will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
